A inviting space for architects and designers that encourages collaboration with builders, artists, and clients.
A inviting space for architects and designers that encourages collaboration with builders, artists, and clients.
Originally a fashion store, this small space has been thoughtfully reimagined as an architecture and interior design office. The concept was to create a highly visible service area from the street, encouraging passers-by to easily stop in and inquire about architecture and design services. At times, the front section of the shop is utilised to showcase artwork and art craft that can be used for styling refurbished homes and commercial spaces in the local area.
A key challenge of the project was to design a functional environment that fosters collaboration among architects and designers whilst providing a private space behind glass for more focused work. The aim was to create an office that appeals to a broad demographic, offering an aesthetic that balances informality with the comfort of home-like warmth. All materials are sustainably sourced, from the timber flooring to the repurposed cabinetry and furniture. Custom-designed shelving and storage units were crafted to accommodate material displays and samples.
The result is a welcoming, warm environment that facilitates communication with clients and collaboration among architects, builders, designers, and artists.
