The design brief envisioned a stunning, theatrical jewellery showroom evoking timeless charm, inspired by a turn of the century French salon and Cartier boutique. Set in a 1930s Art Deco heritage building with Egyptian motifs, the project faced challenges such as council approvals, intricate client requests, and sourcing skilled contractors.
Bespoke joinery, intricate plasterwork, and custom designed pieces including gold leaf pedestals, cabinets, and mirrors create an artistic, luxurious space. Antique elements like a mahogany mirror from Argentina and imperial style brass and jade furniture from Paris add to the charm. New window cabinets, inspired by Scandinavian palace designs, balance interior and street display. All technology is discreetly hidden, allowing the showroom to exude baroque opulence and old-world luxury without distraction.
